A hard day's night

I wanted this image to be much bigger, to show the detail of the face but it calls for more photos and it's too late now.
I love all these new girls ( I know you're not supposed to say it yourself) but they have been around me for a while now and I do like their quiet charm.
I made their faces slightly differently and included noses on them, which certainly helped whilst painting and, also helped define their individual characters.
When things are calmer I'm looking forward to exploring these further and taking them into my imagined direction.
As it stands, I may have to compromise as I haven't the time to make their hand knitted/hand sewn garments quite how I'd like.
The smocking on the cardigan turned into more of a gathering arrangement but served the purpose of making a better fit.Sewing the lining in was relatively easy and enjoyable, I did want to knit her a matching beret but the ears will have to do, much easier.
I've had a clash of commitments this last week or so, what with the job search, making new work and some considerable home improvents on the go my time management has been stretched.
After this is over (in the nicest possible way!) I'm promising myself some nice creative treats.Something more lighthearted and hopefully involving some new projects just for me.Finishing my second FIL sock, my Wicker cardigan and maybe starting my Kaffe Fasset throw as well fingerless mitts and arm warmers to be knitted, books to be read...........
The list goes on.
Do you have a 'wish list' of things to make for yourself?
Have a lovely, productive weekend.

I have such a long wish list for myself and it's getting longer by the day. Your new 'girl' is gorgeous. Are you going to put detailed pics of these new ladies on flickr? I keep checking because I am desperate to see them. how's the website coming on? So many questions!!!!Sorry!

I'm not surprised you love your new girls, they are so beautiful. (I one day dream of being able to make a toy just for me, but that day is far in the future).
